To be a real guitarist you have to be able to describe your instrument cos you can't just be playing an instrument without knowing each part of your instrument.. Now take your guitar and be following me as am explaining...
1.Headstock: Check at the top of your guitar this is where all the strings ends and where all the pegs are(that you used to tune your guitar).
2.Tunes/Tuning Pegs/Machine Heads: Check your guitar headstock this is where all steel or bit are,you twist it in other to tune your guitar and to low or high the pitch(sound) of your guitar.
3.Nut: Still on the headstock the nut is located,this is where the strings run through it is either metals,wood or plastic.
4.Neck: Now leave the headstock and check that long thin that you grip with your left hand,so that you can press down the strings and that's what we called Neck.
5.Fingerboard/Fretboard: This is where all the fret the frets lay on your guitar.
6.Fret: These are the raised bit of metal that gives gap on your fretboard.
6.Body:This is a big curvy bit of a guitar which rest against your body when playing.
7.Bridge: Now check on the body of your guitar there lay your bridge is the bit that support the strings as they travel over the guitar body.
OK,Friend There are many parts of guitar but these are the basic you have to know to get you started... So can you identify and name those part now? That's good.
MAINTENANCE OF GUITAR
Right from the Head-stock to the lower body of guitar need thoroughly maintenance,So let me give you some tips to keep make your guitar last longer.
1.Never allow water to touch it.
2.Always put it in its strap or bag to reduce dust
3.Never give unprofessional to play with it.
4.Loose the strings if you the guitar will not be played for a very long time.
5.Weather and Humidity can cause damages to your guitar body,So always keep it in a cool and dry places.
